UPDATE: 2020 Keiki Rainbow Run Goes Virtual
The health and safety of our participants is our top priority. Therefore, the 2020 Keiki Rainbow Run will NOT be held on March 28th at the University of Hawai‘i and will be held virtually, instead. Despite this change, we are still committed to creating a fun and healthy experience for our youth, while raising money for our schools. Therefore, 100% percent of all registration fees will go back to each student’s school. Over 2,400 runners have registered, raising more than $30,800 for schools!
Virtual Keiki Rainbow Run
How it works:
- Receive your running bib and finisher t-shirt from your school or have it mailed to you (complete form on the right by April 3rd)
- Plan your virtual Keiki Rainbow Run – Set a distance goal and map out a comfortable running/walking route in your neighborhood
- Get Running! After a nice stretch, complete your run with your family
- Share photos and videos of your run on social media (optional) and tag them with #KeikiRainbowRun
- Download a printable finisher certificate, fill it out, and present it to celebrate your child’s accomplishment!
- Enjoy a healthy snack following your run
- Don’t stop there—Continue regular running/jogging/walking with your family, and try other forms of physical activity, such as scootering, biking, and swimming
GET A FREE FINISHER MEDAL: Send a photo of your youth and family running outside and you will be sent a free commemorative Keiki Rainbow Run finisher medal (be sure to wear your school shirt or the Keiki Rainbow Run shirt!).

Healthy Youth Fundraiser
Our goal is to make the Keiki Rainbow Run the best healthy school fundraiser in Hawai’i—100% of all keiki registration fees will be contributed back to your school! Over the past 5 years, over $150,000 has been raised to support school physical education and nutrition programs.
Our Shared Mission
To promote healthy lifestyle behaviors among Hawai’i’s families, including engaging in regular physical activity, consuming nutritious foods, and drinking water over sugary beverages.
The Keiki Rainbow Run is proudly produced by a community partnership of non-profit organizations, community groups, public agencies, businesses, and schools that believe our youth should have equitable access to healthy lifestyle options. This event is also endorsed by the Hawai’i State Department of Education and follows the Department’s Wellness Guidelines.
Refund Policy
While we understand we are experiencing unusual circumstances, we encourage families to continue to promote healthy lifestyles choices through our virtual run and supporting your school (100% of your registration fee will be donated). We are, however, open to offering refunds for interested registrants up until the original event date of March 28th, 2020. Thank you!
